SOCIAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
The aim of the Department is to assist and guide our students so they can attain the best results and move on to higher educational institutions.

- Activities:
2.1 Field Trips were organized or all forms
Form 6 and & trip to the Western Division:
This was combined with Economics and included a study of the Sugar Mill in Lautoka and the Metrological Station in Nadi.
Form 5 Geography:
- Visited a major hotel along the Coral Coast and Pacific Green
- Changes in relief and vegetation along the way were observed and noted.
Form 4 Social Science:
- The Viti Corp farm was visited as part of their Local Area Survey.
Form 3 Social Science:
- Visited the Magistrates Court and observed court proceedings.
2.2 Social Science Week:
Displays:
- These were set up by Forms 3 -7
- These displays were on geographical and historical themes and topics.
Senior Category – Won by Form 5 Geography
Junior Category – Won by Form 4D Social Science
Role Plays:
- Performed by Form 3 and 4 on certain social issues like teenage pregnancies, drug and sexual abuse, racial conflicts and reconciliation.
- This was won by 4C.
- Students were being made aware of the issues and showed them the realities of our modern societies.
- Eternal Exam Results 2001
There was an improvement on the exam results.
FJC Social Science - 100%
FSLC Geography - 93.8%
History - 100%
FSFE History - 90%
Geography - 63.6%
We aim to keep improving on these results.
