With
the beginning of yet another educational and fun filled year, Form 4D
kicked off year 2001 with 42 noisy, rowdy, yet talented and hard working
students where the girls out numbered the boys 22-20. Two weeks after
school started, our chubby brother Ian Mar left for Australia for
greener pastures, Best wishes to you man!
With
Miss Noeleen Yee (the chosen one) as our form teacher, it seemed that
everything would go wrong (NOT!). She made sure we did our homework
especially Economics. You name it we learnt it: Algebra, the Accounting
Equation, The digestive system, the 4 Economies, Oblique drawing,
poetry, drama. This is course was possible with the help of our
different subject teachers. Who could forget Mr. Deo’s “train of pulling
ears”, Mr Young’s “0 Tolerance level”. This saw Form 4D excel in the
classroom, sports field and other curricular activities. Talent Quest
was a “first time experience” for us and we managed to snatch Pt prize
in dramatization with our “Channel 4D”. Many thanks to our girls oops..
. .boys, Jeremy, Lee, Ashley, Leon and our superstar Roy.
With
our Basketball, Netball, Table Teiinis, Volleyball, Rugby and you name
it fanatics, 4D was not to be outdone in the sports arena. Our underl5
boys basketball team came home proudly with the title of the “Champions”
and the U 15 girls took out the l runner up prize in the Fiji Secondary
Schools Basketball . Our very own ‘water babe’Narelle did the damage at
the Courts Secondary School Swimming Carnival. As for tennis, Lokhim was
not to be outdone when he was crowned National Junior ‘champ’.
To
all our subject teachers, thank you very much. To all the 4D students,
it’s been an excruciating but enjoyable task holding the reigns and
rowing the boat with a ‘never say die’ team like you.
