2001
has been a very memorable and exciting year for all the students of 6K.
The class of 2001 has been graced by the presence of 25 eye catching,
well-mannered young ladies and 17 well-groomed, reputable young men from
all walks of life.
Even
though we got off to a relaxed and shaky start, I am exceptionally proud
of the amount of things we were able to achieve throughout the year. For
starters, our very own Karyn Whiteside who took part in the U19 Oceania
Badminton Championships which was held in Bourail, New Caledonia bagged
a silver and bronze medal. She was also crowned the Ladies Single
Champion. A new inclusion to the class, Titilia Rabuka also won gold in
the recent Swimming Championships. Her events are the ‘Open 50m
Freestyle’ and the ‘17 and Over SUm Freestyle Relay’. Our form also has
students taking part in the Inter-secondary School Basketball
Championships in the UI 7 grades, both males and females.
Our
girls also did the class proud by winning cash prizes in this year’s
Talent Quest. The events are ‘Cibi ai Valu’ (meke) and the famous ‘Pate
Pate’. They won $20 and $45 respectively. We also have mathematicians
and Loo Yu Mao won prizes in an Internet Maths Competition and is also
the vice president for the school’s Maths Association.
On a
final note, we the students would like to convey our sincere thanks and
gratitude to all our teachers (past and present) for their hard work.
Also I would especially like to thank our Form Teacher, Mr. Sushil Deo
Raj for his sacrifice and dedication. Vinaka, Master also for believing
in us and for encouraging us! Last but certainly not least, thank you
Form 6K for being such a great team, as well as you co-operation
throughout the year. Good Luck and God’s Speed, in your FSLC and may you
all keep trying to strive for excellence!!!
