The
beginning of the school year saw form 7 in only one form with about 50
students. This year was a bit different since the teachers allowed Form
7 to start without our FSLC results. In week 4, we were handed our
results, which some of us welcomed with open arms while others thought
that they had collected the wrong marks. Once we had our results, our
numbers were slashed to about 30 students.
Most
of those who left went on to foundation studies at university and we
were joined by new students from other schools, and some other students
who couldn’t get enough of Yat-Sen. Our numbers were in the high forties
so the teachers decided to give us space by splitting us into two forms
with about 24 students each. Once everyone was settled, the real work
began. The first order of business was getting to know the new students
and where they were from. Not many of us in 7P realised that we were the
seniors of the school since we were still acting like third fomers.
In
term 2, we sadly said good-bye to 2 of our classmates, Sanjineeta and
Janice. A whole year has flown by and although we had hectic study
timetables planned, we managed to squeeze in some extra curricular
social and sporting activities. These included the Talent Quest,
Language Week, different sporting events and some parties.
On
behalf of Form 7P, I would like to thank our various subject teachers
for their wisdom, understanding, patience and guidance- thank you all
for putting up with us for another year. I would especially like to
thank Miss Aziz, our form teacher, for all the help she has given us
throughout the year. My gratitude also to the Head Boy, Jonathan, the
Head Girl, Evalyn, our student council reps, Seamus and Krystal, our
magazine rep and class librarian, Jacinta and the rest of the form
members.
Last, but not the least, I would like to thank the Lord for all the
guidance and protection He has provided for
the form especially in the preparation for exams.
Meny
Christmas and may God bless you all!
