Overseas Competition 1998

 
 

Every year, a number of students sit for overseas competitions particularly from Australia and perform well.

A very popular competition, that students from form 3 through to form 7 sit for is the Australian Maths competition.  Most of the students who sit for this manage to do well with quite a number achieving and high distinctions.

The Australian English competition is another competition that quite a number of students sit for.

The Australian Science competition is also sat for by a few students.  The Australia Computer competition is sat for by many senior students of Yat Secondary School.

Secretarial Studies students have the opportunity to sit for the Pitman Typing Examination from New Zealand.  Many of them manage to pass with a first-class pass.

Chinese Students of Yat Sen in 1998 sat HSC (Higher School Certificate) for the 2nd time.  This paper was from the New South Wales in Australia.  The students found this paper to be fair.  Generally, the participation levels in these competitions from Yat Sen is high, and many students get certificates of honour.
