Head Prefect's Report

HEAD PREFECTS REPORT

The year 2005 has been a challenging yet rewarding one for us as Head Prefects. Being elected as Head Prefects for a prestigious Institution like Yat Sen is not only an honor but has also given us the opportunity to holistically develop as a person.
A Leadership Seminar held at the Deuba Christian Camp in Term 1 which was attended by all Prefects, Student Council Executives and Class Captains helped instilled and developed our leadership qualities. We learnt that effective leadership is only possible if each student leader recognizes the fact that being a leader not only summons one to lead but also to serve.
Our gratitude is conveyed to the Principal, Mrs. Tevita, the Vice-Principal, Mrs. Teilai  and all the teachers for the faith they had in us which has enabled us to effectively lead the student body this year. The Deputy Head Girl, Sala Bukarau, the Student Council, Provisional Prefects and all Class Captains must be commended for the wonderful role they played in ensuring unity amongst all students. Our former Head-Boy, Yuen Chee Ming, who left to pursue further studies in Australia at the beginning of the year, is also thanked for being an excellent role model for all young leaders.
Finally, we wish to thank the Student Body for being co-operative and making our roles memorable and enjoyable.

We wish the Yat Sen Family a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
