About the School

Yat Sen Secondary School was established to provide high quality education to boys and girls in a multi-cultural environment. The students are encouraged to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities to enable them to broaden their interests, develop their latent talents and thus be able to adapt to a rapidly changing world. Non-denominational moral instruction is provided to equip students with a code of ethics which it is hoped will reinforce the teaching of their parents and family. Emphasis is placed on academic excellence and self-discipline. Students are encouraged to be considerate and tolerant and to be contributing members of society

Allan Leong Makes History in Yat Sen FJC
Allan Leong, now in 5G, scored 587 out of a possible 600 in FJC 2004. This mark broke the record of 583. Allan was the underdog before the examination, with Tom Chen (Who won 9 out of 10 prizes at the end of 2004 the clear favoirte) leading the way. Allan prooved everybody wrong beating Tom by 16 marks! Congratulations Allan!

Surprise in FSLC Too
With Zhuo Jie, Win Wynt (Sorry, I don't know how to spell her name) and their friends firing at FSLC, nobody really expected Nikhat to come out the winner! While the two favorites enter USP with obviously a lot of disappointments, Nikhat certainly got something to remember,Congratulations To Nikhat too!

Awakening of the lions
The two new lions at the foyer of the Yat Sen Hall was awakened by the ambassador of the People's Republic of China, his excellency Mr. Cai Jin Biao and the chairman of the Chinese Education Society in Fiji, Mr. Gregory Yee
