The main aim of the department is to guide the students to always strive for excellence. The school with its modern facilities, a well equipped laboratory, has helped to provide an excellent learning environment for the students to work in.
However the teachers work hard to ensure that the students achieve their goals.
COMPETITION
Students are always encouraged to take part in National and International
Competition to help expose them to the expectations of the outside world.
In the Australian Science Competition, two students won prizes for their
levels:
• Liang Weidong of Form 6
• Amit Narsey of Form 5
Also in the Chemistry Quiz organised by USP:
• Liang Weidong of Form 6 won 1st prize
• Alan Leong of Form 5 won 2nd prize
Tsai Wei Che of Form 6 took part in the Titration Competition Finals at USP.
EXTERNAL EXAM RESULTS
Last year, the pass rates were excellent and are as follows:
FSLC: Biology 85% Chemistry 81%
FSFE: Biology 83% Chemistry 91%
I would like to thank the Principal and Vice Principal for their professional guidance and support, Mr. P. Young and Mrs. I. Teilai for their excellent performance and dedication that has contributed to the efficient organization of the department.
To all students sitting external exams, I wish you all the best and
remember that satisfaction comes only when you know you have done your
