The Student Council is an important component of the Yat Sen Family. It basically          serves as a mediator between the students and the teachers.

The Council is fortunate to be working with a mentor, disciplinarian, firm but friendly co-ordinator, Mrs M. Teleni, who has been giving the members the opportunity to realise their potential as young people who can contribute constructively to society.

The Council's Executives of Avelina Rokoduru  (President), Robert Vaurasi (Vice-President), Noel Quan (Treasurer) and Shaiianne Ong   (Secretary) were privileged to be given the opportunity to attend the Leadership
Seminar, held in Term 1 at the Coral Coast Christian Camp. This Seminar
was also attended by all Prefects and Form Captains and their Assistants. The Executives of the Student Council believe that this was an eye-opener for participants for it highlighted the important role that each distinctive group had and the importance of communicating well with each other. More importantly, it emphasized that every participant is a member of the Yat Sen Family and as such should work towards the
Goals, Visions and Missions of the School.

With the support of all stakeholders : teachers, parents and the students, the Council was able to organize some very successful school events like the Annual Talent Quest held in Term 2 and the World Teachers Day in Term 3.The Council is currently organizing a 'sit-down' formal dinner for all senior students at the end of the school year.

The Council would like to acknowledge God's guidance and blessings, the support of the Chinese Education Society Board, the Principal ,Mrs. Tevita,  teachers, students and parents. A big “vinaka vakalevu” to Mrs. M.Teleni.

Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!
